Privacy Policy

When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide. A waitlist profile may also include an optional display name, profile photo or avatar choice, referral code, UTM parameters, and basic technical information such as device, browser, page, and timestamp data. Earlier versions of the waitlist also collected optional product-research answers about spending categories and card controls.

When you participate in a referral campaign, we associate your personal referral code with your waitlist signup and record how many qualified signups are attributed to that code. Public profile and leaderboard pages may show your display name, avatar, line rank, referral count, and referred users' public profiles. Product-research answers, notes, and email addresses are not shown on public pages.

Chirpin blog pages include a signup form embedded from Substack. When the form loads, Substack may receive technical information associated with the request, such as your IP address and browser information. If you subscribe, Substack collects and processes the email address and subscription information you provide under its own privacy policy. During the move from Chirpin's previous newsletter provider, we may provide Substack with email addresses that previously opted in to Chirpin blog updates, excluding unsubscribed or suppressed addresses.

If you contact us directly, we collect the information you choose to include in that message.

We use waitlist information to confirm interest, deliver the optional product-announcement and weekly-update categories you select, understand where signups come from, prevent abuse, and improve the Chirpin web experience.

We publish Chirpin writing on our website and on Substack. Substack manages newsletter delivery, subscription preferences, and newsletter unsubscribes.

We do not use waitlist signup as an application for a bank account, debit card, credit product, or other financial service.

We may share information with service providers that help us host the site, operate the waitlist, send email, analyze traffic, or protect the service.

We do not sell waitlist email addresses. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transaction.

When you join the waitlist, you can separately choose important product and launch announcements and a short weekly build update. Both choices are optional and start unchecked.

You can turn off either category or unsubscribe from all Chirpin marketing using the preferences link in a Chirpin marketing email. Chirpin stores the choices associated with the waitlist, and Resend processes Broadcast delivery and provider-level email preferences.

Joining the waitlist does not subscribe you to the Chirpin newsletter. Newsletter signup and unsubscribe choices are managed separately through Substack and the links in Substack emails.

Opting out of marketing emails does not remove you from the waitlist or change your spot in line. To update or delete your waitlist information, or to leave the waitlist entirely, contact hello@chirpin.io.

Transactional and account-related emails, such as a waitlist confirmation or a requested sign-in code, are not marketing and may still be sent.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for the current MVP stage, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.

We keep waitlist information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, unless a longer period is required or appropriate for legal, security, or operational reasons.

Chirpin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Chirpin develops. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice.
